Sophia's Soccer game

Saturday, Hudson and I went and watched my niece Sophia play soccer. It was fun to watch her run around and be quite the little defender. The boys had fun playing on the playground nearby… it was the first thing Hudson saw when he got out of the car. :)

He usually loves the slide but it was too hot so he never went down. :(

He did have fun on this horsey!

Sophia has the pink socks. :)

These two had fun swinging together!

Apple picking

Friday we went Apple picking with my sister, her kids and my mom.  Bells Orchard is a cute little farm located just down the road from my sisters house. The trees are short and were the perfect size for the kids to pick on their own. And a picking they did! I think we came away with 20+ pounds of Honey Crisp Apples.  Back at my sisters house; we made crock pot applesauce, baked apple rings, and my brother in law made an amazing pork dinner with some. There were even apples left over for us to bring home.

These two have been battling Hand, Foot and Mouth all week so it was nice to get out of the house.

Bapa Bjornseth's Birthday!

Two Sunday ago, Kim and Granny threw Bapa Bjornseth a birthday party at his and Granny's new pad in Orenco. A lot of family came to celebrate… Hudson stole the show as usual. ;)

Hudson learned how to put olives on his fingers. :)

The boys in the kitchen… preparing the smoked meat.

Playing with toys that used to be Matt and Josh's.

Granny and three of her siblings.

Bapa the birthday boy!

Happy Birthday! Make a wish!

Yummy treats made by Matt's mom.

The birthday boy taking a snooze… to much partying!

Hudson even had time for a little swim with his Daddy.

A sleepy Hudson who didn't nap until the car ride home late that afternoon… he did really well though.

He loved being dunked in the pool… he wanted Josh to do it over and over again.

Potty training- Part 1

After labor day, I spent a few days at home potty training Hudson. He had shown signs for quite awhile that he might be ready. The first three days he spent his days in only a shirt or sweatshirt. I set the timer and had him sit every 30 minutes. But by the middle of the day, he was telling me when he had to go pee. I was surprised at how well he did, only having a couple accidents, mostly bm's. We used no reward on day 1 then moved to stickers and "choc chip" (chocolate chips) later in the week. Friday I put him in his big boy underwear and he peed and pooped every time he had to go. HA! So the moral of the story is… if he could be naked then he's potty trained. We'll try again later this fall. :)

Church Picnic at Alpenrose Dairy

Labor Day weekend, we enjoyed a fulfilling church service out at Alpenrose Dairy. We gathered with friends and family to worship, listen to a sermon by Luis Palau, eat lunch and play carnival games. Since the service started at 11am, we didn't stay for the carnival games because Hudson was ready for nap when they started at 1. Hopefully next year, we will be able to enjoy all of what the day held. And sadly, I only took two pictures, but sweet ones nonetheless.

Children's Museum

Mindy and Jaclyn met us at the children's museum a couple weeks ago. Hudson loves babies and was very sweet with Jaclyn. He also enjoyed running around from room to room exploring everything he loves about the museum. :)
