Portland Aquarium

Today we checked out the Portland Aquarium with Jackie and Jameson. It was definitely… lets just say … a little ghetto. :-/ The building was old, the tanks were small and I felt bad for all the sea creatures. :( The kiddos enjoyed most of the visit. You were allowed to use one or two fingers to touch the creatures gently. Hudson was up to touching everything but the stingrays… they were a bit intimidating to him. It was a good, one time experience, not sure we'll be going back any time soon.

Touching the starfish

Watching the sting rays… we bought food to feed them but because you had to reach in the tank, Hudson wasn't up for the task. :)

The octopus was cool, but his tank was so small. :(

Being brave and touching the sea creatures

Children's Museum

Last week we met Kindel and Brooks at the Children's Museum. Kindel (due with baby #2 Feb.5th) and I stayed busy chasing around our busy toddlers. ;)

Drawing with chalk

Little on the bike together

How cute are they!?

Love him!

Miss Nora

Natalie and Nora came over for a play date last week. Nora will be one next month and she is a little ham. She was enamored with Hudson, who definitely was unsure of her at first. All morning he walked around saying, "share toys Nora" ;) Thankful he heard and listened to his Mommy.

I didn't take many pictures but did capture their time on the trampoline together. :)

Big Boy Bed

Last night Hudson hit a big milestone… he slept in his big boy bed for the first time. I can't believe my first baby is already old enough to have his own bed. It was bitter sweet for me but he was SO excited which made it much easier on his Mommy. We did our normal bed time routine and told him when he woke, he needed to stay in his bed and call for Mommy or Daddy and we would come get him. At 7:15am this morning, we heard him and went in the get our sweet boy. Matt and I are so proud of him!

So little in such a big bed. :)

Sisters

While our husbands are away… the sisters (wives) will play. Friday night, my sisters and I had a sleepover. Hudson was at my in-laws. We stayed at Shannon's house and spent the evening laughing, eating and just being together. We ended the night all sleeping in the same bed (Sophia slept on the floor next to me). Spending time together is the best and I love them both dearly! Thankful for our friendships!

We laughed so hard at this pic… it made us all cry!

 Love them so much!

First Snow!

Thursday we woke up to no snow like the forecast had predicted, but the roads were slick with ice. Hudson and I stayed home, no need to risk going anywhere (I hate driving in icy, snowy conditions). By early afternoon, snow started to fall and leave white patches throughout the yard. We didn't get much but it was fun to document the first snow of the season, and crazy that it was in November!

I spy with my little eye… Hudson. Do you?! ;)

Chilly day at the park

We met Jameson and Jackie at the park… it was chilly but the sun peeked through at the end of our visit. The boys had fun watching their diggers roll down the slide, sliding and climbing themselves and feeding the many ducks that made their way towards us.

Baby boy Klein

A little over a week ago, Hudson and I ventured to Tigard to meet Baby Klein. His older brother Caden and Momma Kori have become great friends of ours since meeting them in our birthing class two years ago.

Baby Klein weighed almost 10lbs and was less than two weeks old in this pic. Big boy!

These cuties ate lunch together… shirtless! :)

Halloween 2014

Our Halloween was packed full of fun activities… we were busy, busy, busy! About an hour before we were supposed to host a morning play date, Hudson slipped on the hardwood floors and cut the back of his head. :( It was a scary mom moment but after a bath, Neosporin and a lot of TLC he was good to go.

Halloween play date!

After Hudson's nap, we visited Fisher for a little event they were hosting. Hudson loved going to "Daddy's building".

I'm a blessed Wife and Mommy!

"Bye Daddy's building"

This picture sums up his feelings about being the "Duck" for Halloween!

Trick or Treating in our cul-de-sac. Our sweet neighbor who we hadn't officially met put together a bucket full of goodies for Hudson. An Elmo coloring book, Thomas sticker and water color book, crayons, play dough, little people cars and treats. She definitely hit the spot on what our little guy likes right now. :)

He was a big hit with all our neighbors!

After trick or treating a few homes we headed to the Boaz's for some more fun! Jackie hosted with adorable snacks and treats.

Matt, Chris and Brian :)

Trying to get a picture of all the kids was not an easy task…ha!  It's still cute!

Round two of trick or treating… it was cute hearing him say "Trick Treat" and "Nenaw" after each home followed by "more". :)

How cute is his little duck tail?

When we got home later that evening, he really like helping pass out candy. Every time a child would pick a candy from our bucket, Hudson would pick one for himself too. :)

Boo Bash!

Wednesday before Halloween, downtown Camas had their annual Boo Bash. Kids dress in costumes and Trick or Treat the shops and restaurants. We met Jackie and Jameson and it was a ZOO! I think all of Camas was there trick or treating. Thankfully, the boys are still young and had no problem moving through the crowds. They both saw Elmo and were more interested in him then anything else. Ha! :)

How cute are they!? Both boys in their DIY costumes. Proud little Duck and Digger!

First time Trick or Treating… learning and practicing what to do.
