September phone dump

Here's some of what we were up to in September!

A couple of firsts

Harper had her first Mum mum snack. Its a surfboard shaped rice cracker that basically melts in your mouth. She was very interested and enjoyed every nibble. I forgot how much fun it is to see your baby try things for the first time. Loving this all over again with Miss Harper.

Thankfully she sat on blanket because it was a gummy mess everywhere. :)

She then tried some frozen bananas in a mesh pouch. Hudson never had one of these but Harper really liked it. I think it felt good on her sore gums.

A little cold... hehe ;)

Seven months old!

Harper is seven months old!

Stats: 9 month check up

Nicknames: Sister, Harps, Harpski, Miss, Baby Sister, Sinster, Sis

Eat: Breast feeds every 3 hours during the day (5 times). Still sleeps 11-12 hrs straight through at night. Takes a bottle from anyone, even Mom. Still like the binkie for naps, bedtime and occasionally when she's fussy or finds one in her basket of toys. ;)
Solids: Likes all pureed homemade food she's had. Sweet potato, acorn squash, butternut squash, peaches, green beans, carrots, bananas, avocados, apples. She eats oatmeal mixed with breast milk and a fruit puree in the morning about an hour after she wakes up and has nursed (8am). Eats lunch (pureed veggie and/or fruit) around 11/11:30 and dinner (pureed veggie and/or fruit around 5/5:30. Tried puffs and mum mums and was interested in both.

Sleep: Naps 3 times a day. Length is between 45 min.-1.5 hrs. Is ready for a nap about 2hrs after she wakes up. She no longer rolls over to her belly and sleeps on her back through her naps and the night. Wears sleep sack, and bunches it up by her face, also has binkie. Still shouts when she's getting tired.
Bedtime- I feed her at 7/7:30ish and lay her down with binkie. Occasionally she doesn't wake up if I lay her down, so I put binkie in arms reach. If she does wake up when I lay her down, she puts herself to sleep with her binkie. She's waking up between 6:30am and 7am but did have a week long stretch where she was up between 5:30 and 6:30am. Sleeps on her back in a sleep sack. She's a flexible sleeper and can nap in her crib, ergo, car and pac n play when tired.

Activity: She's awake for about 2 hour stretches, sometimes longer in the evening. Sits up like a champ and loves to sit next to her basket of toys. Takes everything out and will do, over and over if you refill the basket. Loves to chew/suck on everything especially cold washcloths. Noticed herself in the mirror. Will jump in her jump a room for short periods of time. Still flaps her hands together. Loves peek a boo, patty cake and any song sung to/with her. Enjoyed bubbles the other day.

Social: She's usually a happy baby but hates being left in a room alone. She will immediately cry if you walk away and leave her alone. Still very ticklish, all over but especially under her neck. Still chatty and loud, especially if Hudson is around and being loud to her. Loves to blow raspberries. Starting to have some stranger anxiety.

Teeth: 2 bottom front

Temperament: Sweet and mostly happy. 

Appearance: Still looks like Mommy. Big brown/green eyes, dark hair that is still very slowly growing in. And has big cheeks.
