Sophia and Lincoln's Family Party

Friday evening we headed over to the Rider's with both families to celebrate Sophia turning 7 and Lincoln turning 2.  My brother in law Matt made a delicious hamburger and potato bar. And the three kiddos entertained each other and the adults the entire evening.  Such a fun time with family!

Hudson helping Sophia and Lincoln open gifts

Grandma Susie gave Hudson a gift to open as well… a white Bentley play car. Daddy was proud.

Singing to the birthday kids

Cutest cousins ever!!!

Hudson, like the rest of the family loved the delicious chocolate cake Shannon made!

We can't go to the Rider's without a game of peek a boo in their pantry :)

Flooding!

I was quite surprised when I opened Hudson's drapes Friday afternoon to find major flooding in our cul-de-sac.  It looked like a brown, muddy river flowing in front of our house…crazy! Thankfully the city and contractors were quick to help navigate it down the hill.  Come to find out, excessive debris from all the rain was blocking the drainage pipe. :-/

The unfinished flag lot next door was flooding, thankfully no damage to the house was made

The view from our upstairs window

Busy week

This week we were busy unpacking, playing with toys that were in storage and having fun with family on their spring break.

Hudson decided he wanted to try his baby swing again… he loves it and is very possessive over it. :)

Silly Grandma

Peek a boo!

The boys were playing with their cars… its pretty cute when they "talk" to each other

Endless fun with the washing machine box

Little, red tricycle

Sunday we took a break from unpacking to enjoy the beautiful sunshine! Hudson rode his little, red tricycle for the first time…he loved it!  I see many rides around our cul-de-sac in the future.

Lincoln turned two!

Hudson and I broke away from moving/unpacking on Saturday to help celebrate Lincoln's Blazer birthday party… Hudson loves both Sophia and Lincoln and I knew we couldn't miss his cousins birthday.

A few pictures from my phone.

The birthday boy!

Hudson devoured his cupcake

Cute cousins… I sure do love them

Lincoln, like his mom and sister loves to take pictures… Hudson was his model

Children's Museum take two

Sorry about the lack of blogging but as you know, we've been in over our heads with boxes. It's so nice to be moved in but now to decorating and making it feel like a home.

The Friday before we moved last weekend, Hudson and I made a trip to the Children's museum with my friend from high school and her two boys. Yes, it was the second trip in one week, but Hudson loves it there!

Brushing the Alligators teeth

He really enjoys slides and so this one is no exception

Checking out the wall of water

He was captivated by this mans singing and instrument playing

Dig pit with his buddy Jevin

Reaching for the overflowing water

Stacking, stacking, stacking… this is his favorite activity right now at 17 months

Children's Museum

We spent another morning at the Children's museum.  I think we were there 2+ hours and Hudson was going the entire time. :) His buddies, Jameson and Kaden joined in on the fun.  My camera died, so here are some pictures from my phone.

Three little boys

He's been really interested in stacking things.  I was impressed with how good he stacked these little blocks, over and over.  It's exciting to watch his little mind at work.

Pipe worker… again his persistence on putting the pipes in the holes was really cool to watch.

Splashing the trickle of water as it flows down the rocks is so fun, even if you get soaked!

Dig pit… busy boys filling and dumping

Through the tunnel they go

Pushing buttons… lights… heaven for this little man!

Choo, Choo… playing at the train table

Peek a boo! This picture cracks me up
